Stratford Hall Announces Virginia Resolved Keynote Speaker, Participation of VA250 Mobile Museum and The United States Navy Concert Band

Stratford, Virginia (March 20, 2026) – Stratford Hall Historic Preserve has announced Carly Fiorina, the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission’s National Honorary Chair, as its Virginia Resolved keynote speaker during the evening program from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. A best-selling author on leadership and the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, she was the first woman to lead a Fortune 50 company. Read her full bio here. Her remarks will accompany a speech from a Richard Henry Lee historic interpreter and a patriotic music performance from The United States Navy Concert Band. As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for over a century. The free evening event will offer food trucks, wine and beer sales, DJ music, and conclude with a fireworks show. Advance registration is encouraged. Reservations are being taken for a 5 to 7:30 p.m. dinner buffet in the Stratford Hall dining room.

Festivities will continue into Sunday, June 7 for a ticketed event from 12 to 4 p.m. featuring a citizenship ceremony, discussions with Richard Henry Lee and Hannah Lee Corbin historic interpreters, cavalry drills from the 1st and 4th Continental Light Dragoons, musket demonstrations with the Sons of the American Revolution, 18th-century foodways demonstrations, a student art show, and more. VA250’s Mobile Museum Experience will be on the grounds both days for visitors to learn how Westmoreland County’s history intertwined with the larger American Revolution. More than just a static display, “Out of Many, One” is a cutting-edge, immersive, and hands-on exhibition housed within a custom-built 53-foot expandable tractor-trailer. Utilizing high-tech displays, interactive exhibits, and compelling artifacts, the museum offers visitors of all ages an engaging journey through the pivotal events, groundbreaking ideas, and diverse individuals who shaped America in its earliest days. It highlights Virginia’s essential contributions as the birthplace of the nation and its ongoing pursuit of a more perfect union.

Virginia Resolved is Stratford Hall’s newest signature event and will commemorate the 250th anniversary of Richard Henry Lee’s Resolution for Independence on the Semiquincentennial year of the United States. This year’s event is in partnership with Westmoreland County and the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250). The organizations anticipate this to be a staple summer event for the Northern Neck community and visitors from across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
