The Marquis de Lafayette and the Revolutionary War

The Marquis de Lafayette and the Revolutionary War

About

Based on Mark Leepson's popular, concise biography "Lafayette: Lessons in Leadership from the Idealist General," this program will focus on Lafayette's crucial role in the American victory over the British in the Revolutionary War, including dozens of slides that illustrate how the 19-year-old French nobleman became a Major General in the Continental Army, a close confidant of George Washington, and a beloved figure in the Colonial period and the Early Republic known far and wide as "Our Marquis." A book signing will follow.
