Music of the Regiment brings the world of the American Revolution to life with "Equal to any Band in this Country," a special concert performed by a six-member wind ensemble of period-instrument specialists. Through dramatic readings, 18th-century marches, and opera works, hear the music that shaped daily life and rallied the French, American, and British armies at Yorktown in 1781. This special evening program presents music from the eras of Washington and Mozart and includes works by André Grétry, François-Joseph Gossec, Timothy Olmsted, John Reid, Johann Christian Bach, and others.
