An end-of-day fireworks display IHO of Amelia Day 2026 and the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, presented by RiverStreet: The show will follow the performance by the 29th Infantry Band ensemble at the nearby Jackson Building and Tot Park. The event marks the 291st Anniversary of Amelia County and the 250th Anniversary week of the 5th Virginia Convention that ordered the Virginia delegates to the Second Continental Congress to submit a resolution declaring the independence of the United States of America. Streets surrounding the fireworks launch site will be marked off to ensure that viewers remain outside of the 450-foot launch danger zone. Parking will be in the Court House village area, including east of the Hamner Library on Dunn Street. Viewers should bring their own seating. The County Administration Building - Clothes Cottage complex, and Hindle Field soccer site on Washington and Virginia Streets, including parking areas, will be off limits.
