Join the community for an afternoon of music and patriotism at the Armed Forces Day Concert on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Sims Farm in Forest, VA. This free, family-friendly event honors the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces while celebrating America's 250th anniversary. Enjoy live performances from Bedford native and country artist John Sines, Jr., along with bluegrass band Hammaville, plus guest speakers. Gates open at 12 p.m., with music from 2–6 p.m. Food vendors, kids' activities, and community organizations will be on site. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Donations will be accepted to support the Rock Pike Baptist Church Building Fund. This is an alcohol-free and smoke-free event.
